Brazil telecoms operator OI is looking for a potential merger deal with TIM Brasil , another local telecoms operator. OI is also looking for a merger deal with Portugal Telecom . Telefônica Brazil 's board of directors reportedly approved a capital increase to fund the takeover of Vivendi's GVT , while América Móvil 's is advancing with the merger of its three Brazilian subsidiaries Claro , NET Servicos and Embratel .
